The Challenge
The client’s Data Domain appliances were at capacity, causing backup failures and creating risk to data protection. Without an expansion strategy, they lacked the scalability needed to support future growth and ensure ongoing security.

The Right IT Solution
Weaver expanded the district’s backup infrastructure with Dell™ Data Domain™ DD9410 and DD9400 systems, renewed existing DD units, and strategically reallocated them across production and disaster recovery environments. One unit was moved into a Dell™ Cyber Vault to provide an added layer of protection, ensuring stronger security and greater resilience against potential threats.
The Right Time: Execution
The project was completed in approximately one month. Minor miscommunications around rack components were resolved quickly, and the implementation remained on schedule with no major disruptions.
Outcomes
The project expanded storage capacity to meet growing backup demands, reduced the risk of data loss from failed backups, and improved overall backup security through Dell™ Cyber Vault integration. These enhancements were achieved while maintaining system continuity and minimizing operational changes, allowing the district to strengthen its data protection without disruption.
