Client Profile

The Challenge
The district was facing a critical and growing issue—students were vaping in campus restrooms, exposing others to secondhand aerosol and creating difficult supervision challenges. Traditional monitoring methods were ineffective, and administrators lacked the tools needed to proactively intervene.
Beyond that, the district recognized gaps in their physical security setup, including limited camera coverage and outdated infrastructure that made it difficult to react to real-time incidents.

Weaver Technologies responded with an integrated Verkada-based security solution tailored specifically to the district’s needs. The project included the deployment of Verkada hardware and software, strategic placement of vape detection sensors, high-definition security camera installations, structured cabling to support the infrastructure, and ongoing support and consultation throughout the installation process.

The Right IT Solution
Weaver delivered an all-in-one campus security system that included Verkada vape sensors and intelligent cameras with real-time alerting. This helped staff identify vaping incidents as they happened and respond quickly to ensure student safety.
The Right Time: Execution
The solution was installed during the summer of 2025 and is still ongoing, with sensors continuing to be optimized for coverage. Weaver’s team worked directly with administrators to ensure proper placement, calibration, and training throughout the deployment.
Outcomes
As a result of the deployment, staff were able to actively monitor restrooms and detect vaping incidents in real time, improving their ability to respond quickly and effectively. The district also gained greater control over campus safety, with new tools to secure and lock down high-risk areas when needed. School leaders expressed strong satisfaction with the overall performance and user-friendliness of the Verkada platform, noting its positive impact on day-to-day campus operations.
