Krypton Solutions, an aerospace manufacturer, ran every site from one data center in Plano, Texas. That slowed coordination with its team in India. So Weaver designed an aerospace dual data center solution in Plano and Bangalore, synchronized and protected, with disaster recovery built in.
The challenge: one data center serving two continents
Krypton Solutions is a major aerospace manufacturer with two locations in the United States and one in India. All of its infrastructure sat in one place: Plano, Texas.
That design created delays between the American and Indian locations. Teams in India worked across a long distance to reach systems in Texas, so coordination between regions suffered. The goal was clear. Krypton needed a redesigned infrastructure that would improve performance at all three sites and support its growth.
Our approach to an aerospace dual data center
Weaver brought experience with diverse IT environments at international scale, including cross-border projects. Instead of stretching one site further, we brought the data closer to the work.
First, we designed the aerospace dual data center solution, with one site in Plano and one in Bangalore. Next, we planned synchronization and replication between them, so both regions could work from local systems with the same data. The team spent six months on planning, which covered architecture, site readiness and cross-border logistics. Then deployment took two to three months.
What Weaver delivered
- Dell PowerEdge and PowerStore. We deployed the same Dell platform at each data center, so each region runs on local infrastructure.
- Room to grow. PowerStore’s 4:1 data reduction provides storage and IOPS headroom for the next 5 to 7 years.
- Native sync and VMware SRM. PowerStore native synchronization and VMware Site Recovery Manager streamlined the DR plan across both sites.
- Dell APEX Backup Services. Cloud backup powered by Druva adds full protection and stronger data security.
- Ransomware protection. We set up disaster recovery with a 2-hour recovery time objective.

Results: 99.999% uptime from an aerospace dual data center
After implementation, Krypton Solutions reached 99.999% network uptime. In addition, the company saw clear gains in operational efficiency, communication and data security. Delays between regions dropped, too.
Careful planning kept the rollout on time and avoided disruption on either continent. Today, the aerospace dual data center design gives Krypton the resilience and scale to support its growth and expansion plans.
A common challenge in global manufacturing
Manufacturers that grow into new regions often keep running on infrastructure built for a single site. As a result, distant teams wait on systems that sit far away. Moving data closer to each team, while keeping it synchronized and protected, keeps performance and resilience in step with growth. Pairing local Dell storage with cloud backup from Druva also keeps recovery simple across borders.
