A West Texas district needed more storage capacity to support the physical security systems that protect its students and staff. So Weaver deployed Dell school district security servers at seven locations, each tailored to that site’s bandwidth needs.
The challenge: security systems that needed room to grow
The district is a Texas public school district that serves thousands of students. It stands out for its commitment to student and staff safety, and it works to create a secure, dynamic learning environment.
However, the district faced a critical need to upgrade its physical security systems. To do that, it had to add storage capacity to support a more capable security framework. The upgrade mattered for the safety of students and staff. In addition, each of its seven locations had different bandwidth needs, so one configuration would not fit every site.
Our approach to school district security servers
Weaver brought long experience in K-12 education and deep expertise in Dell technology to the project. First, our team looked at the challenges at each location. Then we designed school district security servers tailored to each one. That way, the security infrastructure would perform well today and scale in the future.
Our Dell partnership also gave the team the insight and technical depth that an educational environment needs. As a result, the design fit cleanly into each site and performed well at every location.
What Weaver delivered
- Dell rack mount servers. We deployed them at seven locations to add the storage the security framework required.
- Site-by-site design. We configured each location for its own bandwidth needs instead of using one build everywhere.
- Agile project management. Our team kept the project moving through logistical challenges.
- Continuous support. Weaver kept supporting the district after the project ended.

Results: stronger school district security servers at every site
The project started in May 2023 with careful planning and quick execution. Despite logistical challenges, Weaver finished implementation by October 2023. Today, the district’s security infrastructure is much stronger, and its school district security servers have the storage capacity they need.
The district also saw immediate gains in communication and in how quickly issues get resolved. Over the long term, it has continuous support and a stronger partnership with Weaver. Above all, the district’s feedback was overwhelmingly positive. That feedback reflected work that went beyond installation to improve the learning environment.
A common challenge in Texas K-12
As districts expand their physical security systems, storage and bandwidth needs grow with them. Those needs rarely look the same at every site. For that reason, planning infrastructure site by site keeps security systems reliable without overbuilding anywhere. Servers from Dell Technologies, sized to each location, give districts room to grow as their security programs mature.
